Kasi life style operate market places where people from allover the world connect both on social media and even in reality or in daily life to make, sell and even buy unique township or urban based goods and experience.LKS promotes entrepreneurship mostly to those who are residents of that particular place,it also make life simpler for the kasi unemployed people those we normally call hustlers, the key word to use on all aspects of kasi life style is HUSTLE(pusha phanda).Car washes are the main businesses that are running in almost every Kasi around Mzansi, and this makes business side of each kasi to become more competitive as almost every unemployed guy from township would want to open a car wash.Even though the competition is there, but competitors always have their unique way of selling and rendering the service to their targeted audience, even the style of promoting a brand or product is even more high because one knows that if they lack that customer attracting strategy, that will lead their business to failure. Kasi life style includes a large number of things that one can find in a township, and some of those things are even personal matters.I still believe that this kind of life style can actually teach one good things in life, regardless of the struggle and the hassle that one passed on.
Kasi life style is a good entrepreneurship platform to almost every south African, we all know that nowadays job opportunities are getting scarce,so for one to keep the pot boiling there must be some kind of occupation he/she is involved.Ours country is some kind of disadvantaged country, and it got to our mentality that we can never find life on our own unless we are working for someone else. That actually drags our minds behind as we all think that for us to have better lifes we are depending on other people. That is where i can say Kasi life brings about changes to peoples life. One learns to stand on their own and makes peoples mind to have believe and courage that they can still become better people in life without working for anyone, but being self employed, mentality changes from time to time and new ideas always pop up as one will never relax because the level of competition is high even.Almost all black man have the mentality of waking up to job hunt and forget of their strong point of which is hustle, you cant call your self a hustler while you are working to fulfill someone else's needs.Believe in yourself and make better of who you are than better of who you can be when relying on other people. As a South African you must know when and where to rely on others, that's only when u need help and advise in life and how to go forward as a young South African.
ADVANTAGES OF KLS(KASI LIFE STYLE)
Competition might be high but still the target audience will have more than one options of business to go to,that is also advantageous to the residents of that particular area because they wont waste a lots of money going up and town to town because almost every products that one needs at the township is there and even cheaper than what you will find in town. There is nothing more valuable thing like a traditional product,it is more preferable even to township people because they mostly do not promote the use of foreign products.Township people will always support their local businesses because they know that it is way better than to steal from others but it is some way of entering business world. For example, whites from suburbs will visit townships like Soweto to experience the life of township, that gives them wide range of places to go to there, even Vilakazi street is one of the most popular places that will attract outsiders to see how kasi life is and get the taste of it.This makes people of township to make forward moves to better and successful business people. You will find uneducated people running smooth operating businesses and they are going well because of the stragegy they have and the believe that they have in themselves.
DISADVANTAGES OF KASI LIFE STYLE.
One can actually think it is easy for one to live in a township, but no it is somehow not.mostly unemployed people from townships will do whatever it takes to make successful businesses but it wont be as easy as one thinks because there is high competition between businesses, this make those businesses which are advantageous to become success and those which are disadvantageous will obviously fall apart. It will bring about conflict to the business owners because there will be that tension that they are all looking forward to render service and sell their product to one and the same target market, the one with best strategy or marketing tool is obviously getting customer trust and support also and those with weak businesses obviously will not survive, even their businesses will never be a success. It is more preferable in the township to start something if u are armed of the risk that you are putting you self to.This leads to many people in township to fall under things like drug abuse and so forth, township people easily give up in life, that is why you will find that in most townships, youth is under the influence of drugs and substance abuse.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It will be more preferable if people from townships unite and do all means of helping one another in all means, that will make one to believe that the spirit of Ubuntu still exists. In this world the is no person who live on his or her own,so we need one another to make better of life
Business wise it will be better if all the business people from townships combine their businesses to one big business, that will attract one big crowd to the business and that will also make the spirit of partnership to be more common to the entrepreneurs and i believe that will make all of them benefit,at the end of the day it will not be about competition but now about passion and business. That can even reduce the number of drug edicts because there will be some jobs created for the residents even.

DeleteKasi life has been great to me, i’ve Learned so many things, and the way you put it makes me to go deeper and experience the tradition of kasi living. Big up. Even though kasi people faces challenges they always come up with a way to handle them.
ReplyDelete#kasilife is a very good campaign because it will make people realize that unity is what is important in kasi living. It is not always the case that when you start researching about kasi life you will eventually get high crime rates and an unsafe environment. The good thing about it is that people try to find their talents and use them at their best abilities without really relying on anyone for help.
ReplyDelete#kasilife there are many things that we have learned throughout and your blog is so touching and it even relates to daily life the best thing about the kasi is that people can face challenges and they solve them as one.
